Production
Harvesting
Reed is harvested only in southeastern France in the Avignon region (Vaucluse). Reeds are cut in winter from December to February and are at least two years old.
Storage
The reeds are stored in a large shed for at least 1 to 2 years.
Sawing
The reeds are cut with a saw by me with a first selection (quality diameter length...).
Calibration
The reeds in tubes are calibrated and selected according to their diameter manually for 3 generations.
Drying
After storage the sawing and grading comes the sunshine or the cane tubes remain 2 to 4 weeks (depending on the season) in the sun to give them a slightly golden color.
